Photo Essay: The Memphis Vibe

Lindsey Turner is a 25-year-old native Tennessean but a recently made Memphian, having moved here in early 2005 to take a design job at The Commercial Appeal. She resides in Midtown, where she moved after an entire year of feeling like she was on the outskirts of the world in East Memphis. Her great love is traveling, even though she rarely gets to go anywhere. She started blogging about her life at theogeo.blogspot.com in 2003 and hasn’t been able to break the habit since.
The photographs in this collection are random and eclectic views of the city and its people, bound together by their particularly Memphis vibe: one of beauty, movement, and color - even in black and white.
